Getting to Caye Caulker and Sea Dreams Hotel

Commuter Flight to Caye Caulker:

Sea Dreams will book a commuter flight for you from Goldson International Airport to Caye Caulker. The cost is approximately $60USD one way and the flight is 10 minutes. Flights run throughout the day and the last one leaves at 5PM. You need very little transfer time after your arrival because the commuter flight ticket counter is a only a few steps away from customs. The small airport is exceptionally easy to move around.
When you arrive to the island, a golf cart taxi will take you to Sea Dreams Hotel for $5USD. The ride is about 10 minutes and gives you a good glimpse of the village.
This is a nice option for a smooth, quick transfer to the hotel.

Water Taxi to Caye Caulker:

A second option is to take a car taxi to the water taxi dock and ride a boat to the island. The car taxi cost is $20USD plus tip, one way and takes about 30 minutes. You will see the streets of Belize City (locally known as Belize) which is a stark contrast from Caye Caulker. Belize City is a city of the developing world.
The water taxi runs every one to two hours throughout the day and the last taxi leaves at 5PM. The water taxi is a nice time to unwind and get used to the salt air.
Once you arrive on Caye Caulker, a golf cart taxi will take you to Sea Dreams Hotel for $5USD. The ride is about 5 minutes and you will get acquainted with Front Street.
This is a nice option if you are not in a rush and are interested in observing the culture of the mainland before making your way to the caye.
